Smoky! Roasty! Not too heavy! A decent stout. Not the worst, far from the best. Not too much in the way of flavor (much like the Irish Red we had this week) but a little of the ol' malty caramel and chocolate coffee. Smooth, not bitter. Not a really strong aftertaste. It did grow on me as I drank, and I ended up liking it pretty well. It'll do when you're out of the REALLY good stuff. |

It was a good beer! This is made by a brewery in South Bend and I had this beer as the start to my debauchery filled St. Patrick's Day weekend! Great heavy bodied stout, and really set the stage for what would be an epic weekend! |

All the way from South Bend, huh? Not a bad stout. The aroma was sweet, toasty nutty notes.. nice balance overall. Chocolate malts with hints of bitter accents. I could easily see me drinking a 6-pack while watching woman dance naked to make their way through college. |
