Thanks to everyone who came out and voted in the Whatzup Best of 2009 Readers Poll, I was told that I came in a close 2nd place which is better than the past 2 years so maybe next year!!! LOL I had a lot of fun at the show, saw some great local acts, and had a lot of drinks which is always a good thing! Brother went home with the big awards at the end of the night, they're so phenomenal it's just ridiculous! If there's a rock song from the 80s or early 90s that you want to hear done just as good as the original, these are the guys to go see. I think they might play Journey better than Journey does...well, it's at least close. Go check them out.
Local Licks this Monday night is a really good show, unfortunately the 3 bands I'm playing all play Friday night and one of those bands is opening up our listener appreciation show at Piere's w/ Pop Evil for only $.98!!! That's going to be a helluva party and I'm very happy to have Sirface opening that show, they'll kill as they always do and did this past Thursday night at the Whammies. Left Lane Cruiser and NYN9 are also on the show Monday night. Make sure you listen at 11pm Monday night!!
Anybody else love the new Godsmack song "Cryin' Like A Bitch"? I love it! The lyrics are good and angry, and it sounds like old school Godsmack which I like a lot better than the previous album or two. Maybe, just maybe if you're all very good we can get them to rock our asses off at the Coliseum again ;-)
I can't mention this enough...drivers in Fort Wayne absolutely suck. And drivers in Adams Co. are even worse!! Let's start with Fort Wayne drivers- Someone please explain to me the point of flooring it everytime the light turns green in downtown Fort Wayne only to slam on your brakes in 100 feet...please, someone explain how this makes any damn sense!!! These people cut everyone off and end up screwing everyone that is just doing the 30mph and making every light. Seriously...stop it you idiots!! And now for Adams Co. drivers- If snow scares you or you're not sure how to drive in it, then do the rest of us a favor and STAY THE HELL HOME!!! Honestly, just stay home...please, you make me want to run you off the road and someday I might!
