So the Whammies are Thursday night at Piere's at 7pm. Tons of local bands will be performing including several that are played right here on 98.9 The Bear during Local Licks, Monday nights at 11pm. If you don't know what the Whammies are, here's an explanation. Whatzup Magazine sends out nomination ballots to all kinds of radio & tv personalities, restaraunt managers, and tons of local musicians asking what was the best in all kinds of categories. After they get those ballots back, they put out the official nominations which people voted on at Whatzup.com or by sending in the paper ballot from Whatzup Magazine. And tomorrow night the winners will be announced. I'm nominated for the 3rd straight year for Favorite Radio Personality. It really is an honor to be nominated and I've made no secret that I'd love to win, lol. I'm sure I won't because of who I'm up against, but still...it'd be cool. Anyway, it's a great night that showcases everything great about the local scene here in Fort Wayne. You should definitely come out if you get the chance!!!
