So the past few weekends have just been crazy! I've had a freakin' blast with so many different Bear listeners, local bands, friends, and pretty much anyone...however, I'm soooooooooo feeling it lately, lol. I guess that happens to everyone eventually but come on!! I'm only 31 dammit...well, 32 in a few weeks, but still!!! WTF?!? Oh well, guess I'm just gonna have to man up because I don't see me slowing down anytime soon!
And with that said, let's get into what's going on this week. I think we'll start with some recovery time so you might as well stay home Monday night and check out Local Licks at 11pm. We've got metal boys Fistaface kicking the show off, they're playing Friday night at Traxside in Garrett w/ Zephaniah, Legion, & S.C.A.R. It should be a really good show and it's also Chris from Fistaface's birthday bash which means there will be plenty of alcohol consumed...and that's a really fun place to drink.
Second on the show is Blood From A Stone who made a big impact during last year's battle of the bands and they're back for more this year, playing this Thursday night w/ Exterminate All Rational Thought, Blackwood, April's Alibi, and Third Frame. I'm playing an acoustic song from them just to change things up a bit. The song is really, really good and it shows off their new lead singer real well. Don't miss the show Thursday night at Columbia Street West, 5 bands for $5...you can't beat that!
In the headline spot is a band out of Columbus, OH that's playing here more and more...XFactor1. They'll be down in Portland at the Greazy Pickle along with Koheleth, Constant Sorrow, and Sunday Stone this Saturday night...as will I! Once again I'll be accompanied by the smokin' hot B&N Gurlz...oh darn! And I have it on good authority that Jenny will be sporting her white mini-skirt again...trust me, you want to see this! It'll be a blast so please come down, you won't be disappointed!
And of course we've got a little show at Piere's this Thursday night w/ Drowning Pool and Nonpoint...that's going to just be ridiculously awesome! Seriously, both those bands bring it every single night and with it pretty much being a homecoming show for Ryan McCombs, you know it's going to be off the hook! Tickets are $17 or $20 the day of the show, save yourself the $3 and get them before Thursday!
Pretty sure that's all for this week, hope all is well and look forward to seeing you out and about!!!
