Alright, we'll start things off today with talking about what an awesome time I had at Traxside Bar & Grill this past Saturday night.  It was Amanda's birthday party and it did NOT disappoint!  Kriadiaz, Mobile Deathcamp, Law of Destruction, Koheleth, Constant Sorrow, DV8, & Sin-i-kel absolutely tore it up all night long!  I've gotta thank Sherry and Russ, owners of Traxside, for helping put on a great show and taking very good care of me.  It was an absolute blast and I can't wait to party there again very, very soon!

There's really only 1 other thing to talk about from the previous week and that's that we finally announced our first Rock Girl and WOW...she is gorgeous!!  Of course I'm talking about Chantel who you can see all over this website and you'll soon be seeing all over the Bear listening area at events!  I don't know her all that well yet but she seems to be a cool chick who has her stuff together which is always a plus...and did I mention she's HOT, cause she is.  You definitely need to come out and say hi to her whenever she's out and about with us...like this Friday morning at Wrigley Field Bar & Grill for another Keg 'N Eggs!!

Sports headlines from last week- KOMETS WIN 3RD STRAIGHT TURNER CUP!!!! Like there was any doubt, right?!  Congrats to the K's on another Turner Cup, I think they can officially be called the "Yankees" of the IHL.

The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs got down to the final 4 and what a difference in the 2 conferences.  In the West it's #1 San Jose vs. #2 Chicago...in the East it's #7 Philadelphia vs. #8 Montreal...WTF?!?!?  I think both of these series are going to be great and a whole helluva lot of fun to watch.  Gotta stick with Chicago coming out of the West since they were my original pick to win it all and let's go Philly in the East.

The NBA Playoffs are also down to their final 4 and there's 1 huge glaring omission...NO LEBRON!!  What happened there?!  I'm pretty sure his elbow injury is worse than he lead on but he didn't get much help from his teammates which I believe will lead him to leave Cleveland this off-season.  And if he joined the Bulls...well I'd need some alone time to soak that all in, lol.  In the West it's #1 L.A. vs. #3 Phoenix and in the East it's #2 Orlando vs. #4 Boston.  I like Phoenix in an upset over Kobe and the Lakers, not sure if that'll happen but I really, really want it to.  And Orlando shouldn't have too much trouble with Boston.

2 huge things going on this Thursday night.  First, it's our 21st Birthday Bash at Piere's w/ Papa Roach and Sevendust!!!  That is seriously going to be one awesome party!  We're finally legal to drink and I think I speak for everyone here when I say we are absolutely going to abuse the living crap out of that privilege.

Thursday night is also the first night of Battle of the Bands 7 hosted by yours truly.  I can't wait to see what this year brings after what was arguably the best battle ever last summer.  We start things off this year with Novafall, Morose, Constant Sorrow,Storm Kills 4, & Flamingo Nosebleed (which could be the coolest name of the battle).  It'll be a lot of fun, so if you don't get out to our Birthday Bash, I'd love to see you out at C-Street to support local music!!

Speaking of local music, Local Licks this week is another damn good show.  It starts with Novafall who is playing Thursday night at C-Street and Friday night at Traxside in Garrett.  This is their first time on Local Licks and it's also the first time for Life Sentence who'll be at Lucky's Tavern in N. Webster w/ Verge of Submission, Twisted Aversion, and Second Season this Saturday night.  That's going to be a helluva good show!  And in the headline spot this week is Morose who made a big splash in the battle of the bands and is coming back for more.  Check 'em out Thursday night as they fight for their cut of the over $23,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs during Battle of the Bands 7 at C-Street.

We'll wrap things up with the fact that Monday is a big day for me personally.  First I get to get up at the asscrack of dawn and do the TNT Morning Show with Turner, but the big deal for me is that later that day it will be snip snip time!  That's right, I'm getting a vasectomy.  The more I hear about them, the less scared and worried I am.  I'll be in and out in like a half hour and I'll just need to ice the boys down for a couple days, shouldn't be too bad at all.

I hope you are all well and hopefully we can party soon!  Take care and thanks for rockin' with the Bear!!!
