So I get a text asking me if I want to go on an Alaskan Cruise to go whale watching...WHY? Why would I want to go in the cold on a boat just hoping an untrained whale will come up to me and hopefully not eat me. I could do the same thing at Sea World somewhere a lot warmer and those whales do cool tricks! (Even though they still sometimes eat people...) Anyway, which looks cooler?
Sitting in a scary boat petting a whale that looks like a rock...
or seeing people bounce on Shamu's nose?

You never know, if you're in the boat one might get close enough to drench you with mucus from it's blowhole! Gotta agree sitting in the stands and watching tricks would be the way to go.

I can say that Alaskan cruises are awesome having gone on one myself. was warmer up there at the time i went than here in Indiana, even while snorkeling. of course it was a thicker wetsuit, but great times indeed

I would probably go. I just don't think it would be my first or second choice for that matter. I like the happy trick doing whales :). But I am down for mostly anything.
